agreement reached? Neymar's move to Saudi Arabia is drawing near

A reconciliation is emerging in the personality of Kylian Mbappé, but Neymar could soon no longer be part of the Paris St. Germain squad. As the usually well-informed sports newspaper “L’Equipe” reports, the Brazilian has agreed on a two-year contract with the Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. The offensive player should therefore earn the equivalent of almost 160 million euros over the duration of the engagement.

Already during the night from Saturday to Sunday, the first reports had emerged that both sides had started negotiations and that Neymar was tempted to make a change. The talks have now apparently progressed so quickly that the Brazilian has accepted the offer from Riyadh.

According to the report, the two clubs still have to come to an agreement in order to finalize the next spectacular move to the Saudi Pro League. Al-Hilal has already submitted a first offer of more than 80 million euros to the French champions. The talks are said to have continued on Sunday morning.

Neymar reportedly announced his intention to leave PSG a few days ago. The topic remained hot – although the father of the record transfer had denied the reports. The Qatari PSG leaders are said to be ready to sell the injury-prone Brazilian if they are presented with a suitable offer. At the league opener against Lorient on Saturday (0-0), PSG coach Luis Enrique Neymar had not called up the squad.

Al-Hilal had already made a €200m offer for Kylian Mbappé, which PSG accepted. However, the player himself had turned down the offer because he did not want to move to Saudi Arabia. The club had already failed to win Lionel Messi – now the third part of the former “MNM” trio should work. At Al-Hilal, Neymar would face players like Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Ruben Neves or Malcom.
