Arthur Rinderknech was eliminated in the first round in Marrakesh against David Goffin

It is Tuesday evening and there are already no French people represented in the ATP 250 table in Marrakech. Five were in the running and all occupied the front door: Luca Van Assche on Monday, Corentin Moutet, Alexandre Müller, Hugo Gaston and therefore Arthur Rinderknech on Tuesday. The latter, ranked 81st in the world, lost in straight sets (6:4, 6:4) to David Goffin (102nd) and was on track to return to the top 100 at the end of this week.

Rinderknech, whose serve is usually one of his strengths, was not to his advantage on this shot: only 4 aces, 47% of the first balls, almost 59% of the points won behind his first ball and four conceded breaks, the last of which was while he was serving to stay in the game.

Goffin, formerly ranked 7th in the world, will face qualifying American Nicolas Moreno De Alboran (157th in the world) in the next round.
