Everyone is talking about Baldur’s Gate 3 – at least for PC players who have been able to roam the vast expanses of Faerûn since August 3rd. Anyone who owns Baldur’s Gate 3 on the Playstation 5 will have to be patient, but at least the date for the preload of the role-playing game has been set. On Twitter, the game’s official account announced that Digital Deluxe Edition holders will be able to start downloading Baldur’s Gate 3 starting August 31 at 6 p.m. German time.
Two days later, those who pre-order the PS5 version can start playing at the same time. The same timing scheme will also be used for the standard edition, just shifted by four days: Those who own the regular PS5 edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 can start the preload on September 4th at 6 p.m. German time, while the official Release on September 6th.
Also pleasing: the download of Baldur’s Gate 3 on the Playstation 5 contains all updates and hotfixes that the Larian development studio has released for the PC version of the game to date. This was confirmed by the developers on Twitter, whose statement also applies to the Mac version, which appears at the same time as the PS5 offshoot. The patches also include the latest Hotfix 4, which was released for download again after a short period of confusion.
