Bayern win easily against Werder

Werder Bremen 0 – 4 Bayern Munich

Goals: Sané (4e90e), Kane (74e) and Tel (90+4e) for Roten

A successful first for Harry Kane.

After seeing the German Super Cup elude them last week, Bayern Munich hoped to kick off the Bundesliga season by coming away with Bremen’s three points. Successful mission for Thomas Tuchel’s players who win 4 to 0.

No observation round between the two formations. For his first start, Harry Kane, who arrived in Bavaria a week ago, delivers a caviar in depth for Leroy Sané who perfectly adjusts Jiri Pavlenka to allow Bayern to take control in this part. (0-1, 4e). The Bavarians continue to push for cover with Jamal Musiala (14e19e) and Noussair Mazraoui (21e). Werder thought they equalized from a corner but Niclas Fullkrug was flagged offside by the assistant referee (9e). THE Werderaner suffered but return to the locker room with only a small goal behind.

Werder pushed to equalize at the start of the second half with Leonardo Bittencourt, served perfectly by Fullkrug but who failed to send his ball into the Bavarian cages (47e). Fullkrug, at the conclusion this time, misses his pivot shot (49e). Little by little, Thomas Tuchel’s players will regain the upper hand in the game and become more and more dangerous with the strike from Kingsley Coman which crashes into the Bremen post (58e). Harry Kane, for his first, definitely puts Bayern to safety by scoring his first goal in his new colors, leaving the Werder goalkeeper speechless (0-2, 75e). Sané even offers himself a double at the start of additional time, on a five-star service from Thomas Muller (0-3, 90e). Bayern’s attacking festival ends with a brilliant inspiration from Mathys Tel who comes to score the fourth goal of the evening thanks to an overpowered strike that left no chance for Pavlenka (0-4, 90+4e).

The curse continues for Werder, still no victory against Bayern at the Weserstadion since 2008.
