According to London, Chechen ruler Ramzan Kadyrov wants to highlight the role played by his fighters in Ukraine in order to demonstrate his loyalty to Russian President Vladimir Putin. That comes from the intelligence report on the war in Ukraine of the Ministry of Defense in London out on Tuesday.
Kadyrov have recently recognized the efforts of a Chechen battalion in the heavily contested Orikhiv sector of Zaporizhia Oblastaccording to the announcement by the British on the platform formerly known as Twitter.
“Chechen forces represent a relatively small but prominent part of Russian forces in Ukraine”, so the announcement of the British. It went on to say, “Kadyrov is probably heavily touting the role of his units in part because he wants to polish his credibility as a Putin loyalist.”
The British Ministry of Defense has published daily information on the course of the war since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine in February 2022. Moscow accuses London of disinformation. (dpa)
