Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III: Seven studios are working on the shooter

Seven studios are involved in the development of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.

Elaborate productions require a lot of creative minds and workers. However, no studio can handle a AAA game like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III alone.

It’s good when you can fall back on a large number of studios and partners to support you.

In the case of the latest offshoot of the shooter series, seven studios are involved in the development. This is now revealed by the activated product page on Steam.

These are the studios:

  • Sledgehammer Games
  • Treyarch
  • Infinity Ward
  • beenox
  • Raven Software
  • High Moon Studios
  • Demoware

It would of course be interesting to know what aspects of the game each studio is working on. Raven Software, for example, should take care of Warzone and a new map for the Battle Royale, while High Moon Studios supports them.

Sledgehammer is rumored to be the main developer. Meanwhile, a Zombies mode could come from Treyarch.

Publisher Activision has already fired off a Makarov trailer, introducing the villain for Modern Warfare III. There was also good news that most unlocked content and weapons will be carried over from the predecessor.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s big reveal is set for August 17th.
