Dana White decided to open the bag again and increase the bonuses for UFC 303, although one fighter was greedy

UFC boss Dana White has decided to award two Fight of the Night bonuses at UFC 303, which will take place this Saturday. The decision comes after White was asked about the difficulty of choosing just one fight that could earn the title of Fight of the Night at the event that will close International Fight Week in 2024. As a result, White promised to award two Fight of the Night bonuses, thus further motivating the athletes who will fight at the event.

“Yeah, fuck it, I’ll do it,” White said to the approval of a raucous crowd in Las Vegas.

UFC featherweight Brian Ortega tried to squeeze even more money out of White by proposing bonuses of $303,000, a nod to the historic $300,000 bonuses White paid out at UFC 300 in April.

But White’s generosity had its limits.

“Not $303,000, but two bonuses,” White said, laughing.

In the main event alone, the ten fighters set to fight at UFC 303 have combined to earn 11 Fight of the Night bonuses, with Ortega leading the way with five in his UFC career. Every fighter on the main card has earned at least one performance bonus, with the exception of Michael Page, who has just one fight in the UFC after spending most of his career in Bellator.

With the additional Fight of the Night bonus to be awarded, the fighters in the main program and in the preliminary rounds definitely have an additional reason to deliver attractive performances on Saturday evening.
