The long-awaited patch 1.1.1 for Diablo 4, which is supposed to fix at least part of the much-criticized changes to the first season, has been out for a few days – and is about to receive the second hotfix. After the first mini-patch for Diablo 4 went live last Wednesday, Blizzard Entertainment again uploaded a small update to the servers during the night from Friday to Saturday. According to the post in the official forum, this is supposed to take care of a bug with the “Temerity” leg protection, which means that the passive barrier effect is now calculated correctly. Other stability improvements have also been made.
Diablo 4 has lost 87% of its peak daily viewership and search interest since launch
Patch 1.1.2 for Diablo 4 is more interesting because it is more extensive. Blizzard has meanwhile uploaded the official changelog for the upcoming patch, which should be available for download on August 15th for all platforms. On the gameplay side, starting with this version, players are placed by default in the trade channel, which has only been used sporadically, at least in my experience. However, this option can be deactivated again in the in-game settings. In addition, the malicious monsters now spawn much faster with a two-second waiting time after a malicious heart has been activated – previously you had to wait five seconds.
Patch 1.1.2 also contains a large number of bug fixes – the druid even has its own section in the changelog. This is primarily about correctly calculating damage numbers when certain aspects or spiteful hearts were equipped. However, the bulk of the fixes are related to visual issues with the interface – after all, the season progression bug where players were stuck opening a Infernal Tide chest, preventing them from continuing with Season 1, has finally been fixed.
