Emma Raducanu trained for the first time since her operations

Emma Raducanu is back in training. The Briton posted a video of herself playing with compatriot Kyle Edmund, the 460th player in the world, at the National Tennis Center in Roehampton, a London suburb, on Wednesday.

Raducanu (20), winner of the 2021 US Open and the first Briton to win a Major in 44 years, has been absent from the courts since her wrist and left ankle surgery in May. Hampered by injuries since her title at Flushing Meadows, she has only played ten matches in 2023.

Absent at Roland-Garros and Wimbledon earlier in the season, she is also expected to miss the US Open, which begins on August 28. She is currently ranked 133rd in the WTA rankings.
