How 2 Escape co-op escape adventure launches on August 31st. A companion app for Steam was announced for the release.
On August 31st, the asymmetrical escape game “How 2 Escape” from developer Breakfirst Games and publisher Just For Games will be released for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Today, the two jointly announce that the companion app will also be coming to PC, in line with the wishes of the community. How 2 Escape is a two-player co-op adventure that challenges newcomers and pros alike to work together and communicate to get out of a sticky situation.
In How 2 Escape, two players must help each other to escape. One of the players takes on the role of Emy, who is trapped on an express train and racing towards her imminent end, while the other player as her brother Johann tries everything to save her.
To escape from the train, Emy has to get through the different carriages to the end of the train, but each carriage offers new puzzles and hidden clues that she can only solve with the help of her brother Johann. While Emy’s player:in can see the wagons and the surroundings on a PC or console, Johann can decode the clues with the companion app on mobile devices or the PC.
This is How 2 Escape:
- Communication is Key: In How 2 Escape, players must communicate and work together to find a solution.
- The time is running: Emy’s time is limited, because only if all the puzzles are solved together and all the clues are found does she have the chance to escape her fate.
- 2-player co-op mode: Gamers on PC and console try to escape. They are supported by a second player, who gets the necessary clues to escape via the companion app on a mobile device or on Steam.
