iCUE Link Hydro X Series: Corsair makes custom water cooling easier(er)

The CPU and GPU water cooling systems from the Hydro X Series can now also access Corsair’s “smart” ecosystem iCUE Link, making it easier to set up a so-called “custom loop”. Several water coolers and matching components for cooling the CPU and graphics card are available to choose from. The manufacturer promises a lot with the Corsair iCUE Link Hydro X Series.

Custom loops “with fun and without effort”

By integrating the various CPU and GPU water blocks, radiators and fans into the ecosystem, it should now also be possible to implement individual and tailor-made water cooling “with fun and without effort”. The components required for this are already included in the scope of delivery or are available in the range of accessories for the Hydro X Series and iCUE Link.

When it comes to CPU water blocks, the Corsair iCUE XC7 RGB Elite LCD with its eponymous LC display and the Corsair iCUE XC7 RGB Elite without a display are celebrating their premiere in the iCUE Link ecosystem and should therefore be quick and relatively easy to install. It also ensures compatibility and connectivity to the other components with iCUE Link, such as various radiators, reservoirs and GPU water blocks.

Both the iCUE Link XC7 RGB Elite LCD with its 2.1-inch IPS LCD screen with 30 fps and a resolution of 480 × 480 pixels and the iCUE Link XC7 RGB Elite without a display are available with Intel’s LGA 1700 socket as well as with AMD’s AM5 platform is compatible with the LGA 1718 socket and the AM4 platform is compatible with the older PGA 1331 socket. Display and RGB lighting are controlled via iCUE.

The two CPU coolers can be combined with the entire iCUE range of accessories, which now also includes a new GPU water block.

Custom water cooling includes CPU and GPU

The new Corsair iCUE Link XG3 RGB Hybrid GPU hybrid water block will also be part of the growing ecosystem. XT(X) graphics cards” is compatible.

The hybrid design cools the GPU and its memory ICs with a flow distributor that distributes the coolant evenly over the copper heatsink, while a dedicated fan additionally cools the components on the PCB and the VRMs.

The Corsair iCUE Link XG3 RGB Hybrid, which has a total of 18 RGB LEDs and its own temperature sensor, can also be fully configured and personalized using Corsair’s in-house iCUE software.

Custom water cooling remains an expensive fun

The Corsair iCUE XC7 RGB Elite LCD and Corsair iCUE XC7 RGB Elite CPU cooling blocks are now available directly from the manufacturer’s shop at prices of EUR 209.90 and EUR 114.90 respectively, while the Corsair iCUE Link XG3 RGB Hybrid GPU cooling block also changes hands for 209.90 euros. The new iCUE-capable pump-expansion tank combination Corsair iCUE Link XD5 RGB Elite is also already listed and costs 254.90 euros.
