Karin Kneissl, a former Austrian foreign minister who made headlines by dancing with Vladimir Putin at her wedding, recently revealed her enthusiasm for the Russian village of Petrushovo. In an interview with the TASS agency, she stated that she prefers this village even to the Maldives or the Seychelles. She is particularly taken with the idyllic atmosphere of country life, such as getting together with grandmothers or swimming in the river. Still, she stressed that she won’t stay there forever and plans to return to Lebanon after her vacation.
The fact that Kneissl spends time in Petrushovo became known when she was seen at a village festival in early August. There she also spoke to the locals in Russian. It is interesting that Kneissl was Austria’s foreign minister from 2017 to 2019. In 2021, she joined the board of Rosneft, a Russian oil company. But after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in May 2022, she left that post, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
