Will Remnant 2 still get crossplay? According to Gunfire Games, the feature is actively being worked on

After Remnant 2 has sold its developers at Gunfire Games more than a million copies on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, you can imagine how many players are in Yaesha, Losomn and the many other worlds. In co-op, only players on the same platform could previously go on a journey of discovery together. But that should change, because the studio is currently working on crossplay.

You’ll have to wait a while for crossplay

In a Q&A on Reddit, Gunfire Games President David Adams wrote: “Yes, we’re looking at it. There are issues with the different platforms and their requirements to enable crossplay, but it’s actively being worked on.” There is therefore no exact date for the implementation of crossplay.

For me, the announcement comes a little too late, because the only person around me who didn’t have a PC but would have liked Remnant 2 is now deep in the Baldur’s Gate 3 swamp. Hopefully you can enjoy crossplay to the fullest when it comes out in the future. In the comments on Reddit, the feature is already incredibly well received.

In general, Gunfire Games has certainly had its hands full over the last few weeks. Not only was there a massive run on the game after the launch of Remnant 2, but a major patch appeared that improved performance and stability, and tweaked the balance of weapons a bit here and there.

Crossplay or not, Remnant 2 impresses with its wealth of content, the many ways to discover the five worlds and their many interesting bosses and puzzles, and the motivation you feel as you play and explore.
