For World War Z: Aftermath Horde Mode XL, the fight for survival has been shifted to Rome.
The new Holy Terror update is here for World War Z: Aftermath. The latest patch, available for free on PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, offers a host of new features including the new map Rom for Horde Mode XL, a fourth upgrade path for all classes, new weapons and weapon perks, new challenges and much more.
Players can pick up a new look for the season with the premium World War Z: Aftermath – Victory Lap Weapons Skin Pack, available today on all platforms for $4.99. It includes stylish new options for the Mini-21 Rifle, S890 Shorty Shotgun, HW416 Assault Carbine, and Repeater X Crossbow.
Horde Mode XL (Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC only) launched earlier this year, and now players can experience the oversized action on a second map: Rome! Fight for survival in the shadow of the Coliseum against special XL waves with over 1,000 hungry zombies. Challenge Mode, where players can increase the difficulty with rotating mutators to earn greater rewards, is also now available for the previously released Horde Mode XL map Tokyo.
Additionally, new mutators have been added to the standard Horde mode, Daily and Weekly Challenges, and players can now search for fellow Horde Mode and Horde Mode XL players using the Quick Match system.
Today’s update also improves player progression with the new fourth upgrade path for all classes, offering nine new perks for each class. The AI party members now also have their own classes and can use special abilities like the soldier’s grenades, the fixer’s supply bag and the medic’s tranquilizer gun.
You’ll need serious firepower to deal with all of these new threats, and today’s update brings you two new weapons – the 1877 SBL Bolt Action Rifle, which uses its leverage to deal heavy damage, and the MRL202 “Commando” Multi-Shot Rocket Launcher. There are also new in-game weapon perks, as well as four new free character trinkets.
